I build software the way other people build furniture — slowly, by hand, and to keep.
I am Anthony — born in Hong Kong, raised for three years in the United States, and now based in Beijing, where I study at Tsinghua International School. Onyx is my studio: I design the screens, write the code, test the models, shape the copy, and ship the products end to end.
I started because I wanted tools that felt considered — tools that respected the person using them. There were never quite enough of them, so I began making my own.
My work sits where AI, software, hardware, and design meet. For Feedii, that meant building a Smart Plate prototype by hand — pairing the app with physical sensing to answer the one thing a photograph cannot: how much food is really there.

What I build
Two products, made properly.
Both designed, built, and shipped end to end — from product design and iOS engineering to the backend and AI pipeline. Feedii is live on the App Store in five countries; each product carries a software copyright filed in my name, with the Onyx trademark registered and pending grant.
Beyond the studio
Beijing, told to the world.
I lead Beijing Talk, an international-communication project supported by the Beijing Municipal Publicity Department. Across fifty short documentaries, published on TikTok and Redbook, I show the city through the eyes of an international student — a series that has found an audience well beyond China.
I was also featured in the Beijing Television documentary series China Stories: The Flavor of Beijing (中国故事·北京味儿), in its opening episode on the Bell and Drum Towers.
